What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is based on a theory of “channels” throughout the body – much like an elaborate network of roots underground. At times, points or areas of these channels may become blocked, due to injury, lifestyle or many other reasons. Like a network of roots, if these areas become blocked, then are unable to supply the nutrients - such as blood and oxygen - to the rest of the body systems. This can lead to injury, dysfunction or illness.

Acupuncture can affect the nervous system, hormones, muscular functions, sleep regulation and more, to unblock, restore and rebalance your body and mind. Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of acute or chronic conditions, and strengthen the immune system and bodily functions.

Acupuncture has been remediating health problems for thousands of years in Eastern parts of the world. As more and more scientific research and evidence points to the effectiveness of this natural and drug-free medicine, acupuncture continues to grow in popularity. Give it a try!
