What Patients are Saying

I went to get acupuncture for my insomnia. I had had acupuncture before in another town to deal with some stress and anxiety from a previous job. I had really bad insomnia at the time and it helped calm my nerves and anxiety, so I wanted to find someone locally that could help me with my anxiety and insomnia.

She asked me if I had any other symptoms from my stress and I mentioned I felt like I might have been losing some of my hair (which I thought was stress related). During my health assessment, it came up that I had an IUD and she mentioned that the IUD might be contributing to my hair loss, as it can be a side effect in some women. My mind was blown as that never occurred to me and I will definitely be doing more research! I fell asleep during my treatment and I felt sooo rested afterwards! She gave me some “sleep hygiene” recommendations, too. I will definitely be back for insomnia and stress treatments and I was very impressed by how knowledgeable she was about everything!

I met Prachi at a dog park I go to. I told her that walking my two pretty large dogs was really taking a toll on my lower back and my shoulder from an old sports injury. I was pretty frustrated because I felt better when I rested, but I had to keep continually walking the dogs, so I was curious if acupuncture could help. After my first treatment, I was feeling no pain in my arm and shoulder and I felt like I could move my arm more freely. My lower back pain was dramatically better and I was able to bend down and almost touch my toes without feeling the sharp pain the pulling from the leash had caused me. I was so excited to be able to walk my dogs without being in a ton of pain and I going back to see her regularly!

I’m a musician and a friend had told me he tried acupuncture for pain he got from carrying heavy equipment around all the time. My arm (wrist and forearm mainly) had been bothering me for some time. I would massage it myself after playing a show, and it would help some but I could tell the pain was getting worse. It felt really sore in my forearm and my wrist and fingers felt like they were cramping up in pain. I was getting concerned because I’ve been a musician practically my whole life! I made an appointment with Prachi – my first time trying acupuncture! I was a little nervous about the needles, but Prachi did a little demo and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. Her space was very calming and I was amazed at how smoothly it went and by how much better I felt afterwards.
